Mother’s Day

RAMAKRISHNA SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

M- BLOCK VIKASPURI, NEW DELHI -18

MAY 9, 2021

MOTHER’S DAY

Dear Parents

Greetings

A MOTHER IS SHE WHO CAN TAKE PLACE OF ALL OTHERS BUT WHOSE PLACE NO ONE ELSE CAN TAKE.

                                                                                                -CARDINAL MERMILLOD

A mother’s love is always unconditional and pure for her children. Since the day she first feels you inside her womb till the day she is alive, she only gives and never complains.

“Youth fades; love droops, the leaves of friendship fall; a mother’s secret hope outlives them all,” a famous quote by Oliver Wendell Holmes sums up the eternal significance of a mother.

She is a selfless, loving human who sacrifices her wants for the needs of children. She protects you, loves you, cares for you and gives her best to make you a competent human being. While a single day is not enough to show gratitude to a mother, the school has organised certain activities to honour the love of all mothers and pay tribute to them.

Students of different class-clusters should go through the following activities and participate whole-heartedly.

TOPIC: MOTHER’S DAY

Class   I – IV                      : Prepare a card/picture collage of your mother’s pictures,  for your  mother and make her feel special

Class  V – VII                   : On an A4 sized sheet, write a poem for your mother  (English/Hindi) and recite in front of your mother to make her feel special.

Labour Day

RAMAKRISHNA SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL

M- BLOCK VIKASPURI, NEW DELHI -18

MAY 2, 2021

LABOUR DAY

Dear Parents

“All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance, and hence should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”

Each year, May 1, Labour Day is a reminder for us that workers are the real architects of our society, and they deserve their due respect. RKS has always believed that these are  small acts of kindness that count and the school attempts to inculcate the same virtues in our children.

The pandemic has led us to understand that the frontline workers are working tirelessly, for the good cause, trying to save the lives of people, risking their own lives. To forge a better understanding of such a worker community among our students who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts, the school has organised certain activities for the students. Our other workforce is also busy in maintaining and increasing the production levels by working day in and day out. So whether frontline workers or the other workforce-all deserve respect from the society.  Therefore the school is celebrating the entire week as: Labour Week

Besides celebrating this day by students’ speeches, school has decided to involve our students in writing creative items so that this day is commemorated in the right perspective. Their participation is invited in the following areas:

TOPIC: LABOUR DAY

Class I – IV               : Collage making, displaying any kind of labour showing that

workers are busy in their work.

Class V– VIII             : Poem composition on Labour Day (Hindi/English), showing

the hard work by workers.

Class IX,X and XII   : Paragraph writing in 100-120 words on what role the frontline

workers play and what role could common people play to support them.

Use the below mentioned link for the different activities to be uploaded.
