These words of Lord Krishna propel us to perform our duties with unfaltering hope
which would lead us to achieve our goal with determination and confidence.
It is enshrined in Bhagwad Gita that whenever there will be a predominance of evil and decline of religion, God will reincarnate to kill the evil and restore all the good.
Lord Vishnu reincarnated in the form of Lord Krishna to end the evil and spread the
message of love and harmony. The festival of Janmashtami commemorates the
rebirth of Lord Krishna and reaffirms our faith in the God. The main significance
of Janmashtami is to encourage goodwill and to discourage bad will. Krishna
Jayanti also celebrates togetherness. The holy occasion brings people together, thus
it signifies unity and faith. So it is celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
RKS believes that festivals of India should be celebrated with zest and joy, bringing
people closer and creating a strong bond of humanity. To foster these values among
our students, the school has organized certain activities on the occasion of
The school invites the students of different class-clusters to participate in the
following activities :
Classes I – IV : Make a Krishna Cradle/Krishna Mukut using craft material.
Classes V – VIII : Poster making of any of Lord Krishna’s village scenes.
Classes IX – XII : Read any of Lord Krishna’s mythological childhood
adventure and write a review on the same in 100-120 words.
