June 24, 2021
Greetings from MERI-Journal of Education.
Thanks to our family of contributors, who submitted their well researched Articles for the April,2021 issue, which helped us immensely to contiue our efforts, uninterrupted, in the service of education. When, despite the extraordinary circumstances, we were able to bring out April, 2021 issue on time.
We all share our concerns for the education of our children, education system of our country and the well-being of our children—with or without the present pandemic.
The 21st century has given rise to a new techno-cultural society, with a very fast pace. It has brought new and fresh challenges to the members to which solutions are still being sought. In this midst, this present pandemic brought forth a new wave of unprecedented and totally unexpected challenges, overnight.
The role of education is envisaged, on the one hand as bringing ‘shocks’ by way of challenges and changes, and on the other hand as ‘shock-absorber’ by way of insulating one with education.
We need to collectively look at education and its role in this ‘new norm’.
Other than the articles on regular concerns about education, there are some defined areas of education, for this issue—October, 2021.
- Teachers and the new challenges.
- Technology in the classroom for as young as Class—1 students and its impact on school-going children—of all ages.
- Ways and means to make this—‘face-to-face contactless’ education more meaningful:
- How to bridge this gap?
- Innovative ways to bridge this gap—What have you –as Teacher/ Coordinator/ Teacher Educator/Mentor –done specifically ? Your personal experiences will find a place in this Journal.
Aticles are invited which can envisage the impact of ‘new-norm’ on the theory and practice of education.
The article should be in the range of 3000-4000 words. [For more information – See the ‘Note to Contributors’ given on our Website—www.rks.net.in/mjoe .
