HER SUPPORT IS WHAT HE ADMIRES IN EVERY WALK OF LIFE, HIS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IS WHAT MAKES HER FIND JOY IN LIFE AND THIS IS WHAT MAKES THE PIOUS BOND OF A BROTHER AND A SISTER
The bonding between a brother and a sister is simply unique and is beyond description in words. The relationship between siblings is extraordinary and is given importance in every part of the world. However, when it comes to India, the relationship becomes all the more important as the festival,”Raksha Bandhan” is dedicated to sibling love.
RKS believes that the festival of Rakshabandhan in India is an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions. It is meant to rejoice special moments and emotions in our lives with our loved ones. To inculcate in students, the love and regard for the family, RKS has organized certain activities, as the school believes that such festivals play an important role to add rhythm to our social lives, and connect us with our rich culture and foster values among the children.
On the occasion of this Rakshabandhan, on August 3, 2020, the school invites the students of different classes to participate in the following activities :
Classes I – IV : Rakhi Making
Classes V – VIII : Thali Decoration
Classes IX – XII :Card Making (which should include the dialogue between the siblings wishing each other as per the rituals of the festival)
Below is the link for above mentioned activities:
Though Raksha Bandhan symbolizes the unmatched bond of love, care and respect between siblings, but in a broader perspective the festival conveys an intrinsic message of universal love, respect and care. Thus it conveys a message that has socio spiritual significance underscoring the need for nurturing positive qualities, purity in thought, word and deed.
To foster love for nature on this special occasion, the school has also organized a RAKHI TYING ACTIVITY under its ECO CLUB, in which the students from classes I – VI are supposed to tie Rakhi to the nearby trees and plants in school uniform and upload their picture on the link given below. On this Raksha Bandhan let’s take a vow to be protective towards our nature.
