‘Bhai Dooj’

“SISTER AND BROTHER RELATIONSHIP IS LIKE A MUSIC, SOME HIGH NOTES,SOME LOW NOTES,  BUT ALWAYS A SWEET MELODY.’’

Bhai Dooj, also known as Yama Dwitiya or Bhai Tika, the festival that marks the bond of love and protection between siblings. Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School, Vikaspuri provided a virtual platform to celebrate and to know the significance of this auspicious festival.

Lavanya Aggarwal of Class V was given an opportunity to deliver a speech on Bhai Dooj in her virtual class. The speaker highlighted in her address that the day symbolizes the bond of love between a brother and sister, where a sister prays for the long life of her brother and the brother remembers his duty to always protect his sister.

She further added that due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis some brothers and sisters might not be able to visit each other but the pious bond of love and affection between them will always be there.

Celebrations also included some of the beautiful performances given by little munchkins of class 1st where they all showcased the bond of love and protection between siblings. All the students participated enthusiastically in the virtual celebration and enjoyed it a lot.

The memories of brother and sister’s silly fights, craziness, and fun may fade away with time but the love they share will only grow with time.
