December 10th is observed as Human Rights Day throughout the world. It is not only a day but an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of human rights in re-building the world we want, the need for global solidarity as well as our interconnectedness and shared humanity.
Human Rights are necessary to provide every human the basic dignity one needs to live. According to the UN, to achieve sustainable development for everyone, the active participation of the youth is very necessary.
Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School observed Human Rights Day by organizing various activities through a virtual platform.
Harman Singh, a student of class 2nd recited a poem in his virtual class to sensitize people around, about the various rights that are needed for leading a dignified life.
Prashasti Srivastava of class 4th delivered a speech highlighting the significance of Human Rights day. Through her speech, she convincingly conveyed a message by unfurling the folds of the United Nation General Assembly- Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
Through her speech, she conveyed this year’s Human Rights Day theme – RECOVER BETTER-STAND UP FOR HUMAN RIGHTS which relates to the Covid -19 pandemic and focuses on the need to build back a better world by ensuring Human Rights.
