“Freedom in the mind, faith in the words,

pride in our hearts and memories in our souls…

Let us salute our nation on this Independence Day.”

National festivals play an important role in planting the seed of nationalism and patriotism among the people of ournation. Celebration of these festivals commemorates the sacrifices of our freedom fighters who laid down their lives in the foundation of our country.

 On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School virtually organised several activities to acclaim the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to instill in students a feeling of patriotism. Activities includedzealful dance performed virtually by the students of class 3 and 4 which made everyone spellbound. Some of the students were dressed up as great leaders such asGandhiji, NetajiSubhash Chandra Bose, ShahidBhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad and Rani Lakshmi Bai. They imitated their famous dialogues spreading the message of peace, non-violence and love for our nation.

TarushiBhandari of Class VIII , presented a poem in her virtual class.Through her poem, she encouraged everyone to celebrate the legacy and fortitude of our freedom fighters and salute their selflessness and supreme sacrifices.

ManviArora of class VII, delivered a speech in her virtual class in which she stated that this festival is celebrated with enormous zeal and patriotic fervour throughout the country. Through her speech, she urged everyone to keep the flag of our nation fly high ever in the sky and to make our country the best country in the world

She concluded her speech with a beautiful quote:

“ Independence Day is the day not only to engage in celebrations but also to remember each sacrifice made to make this day possible….”
