Lavanya of Class-V delivered a very well-articulated speech during her virtual class, emphasizing on the theme for this year “Building rural women’s resilience in the wake of Covid-19.”
She highlighted that rural women play a vital role in enhancing agricultural and rural development, improving food security, and eradicating rural poverty. She further added that rural women are being restrictive to social norms and gender stereotypes. They are even deprived of the educational facilities.
She concluded her speech by advising the people that they should ease the burden on the women and redistribute it between women and men. People should support women’s productive and unpaid care which has been worsened by the Covid-19.
