Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School virtually celebrated ‘International Girl Child Day’

“Give the Girl Child, wings to Fly, let her blossom and touch the Sky.”

Girls or Women are the primary caretakers of the children and elders in every country of the world. International studies demonstrate that when the economy and political organization of a society change, young women(girls) take the lead in helping the family adjust to new realities and challenges.

On International Girl Child Day, Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School organized various activities through a virtual platform to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges they face around the world. The purpose of the celebration was to increase awareness on the importance of girl education, and their health and nutrition.

Tanishi of Class VIII was given the opportunity to speak on the Observance of International Girl Child Day.

She envisioned us that the day increases awareness about the gender inequality faced by women all over the world. She insisted that one should understand that gender equality can help the inequitable future of the girls as they are no less in breaking boundaries and barriers. She highlighted the fact that the girls are the epitome of strength, love, sacrifice, and courage

She gave an insight into the various schemes like “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” implemented by the Indian Government to empower girls for their sustainable development and end-all kind of discrimination towards them.

Celebrations continued with the small acts presented by the charming and gorgeous girls of class 2nd wherein they acclaimed all the achievements that the girls have attained in various fields like sports, politics, or academics. With the encouragement of co-education, girls are now marching side by side with men, in every walk of life and have proved that the girls are the blessings, not the burden.
