Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School virtually celebrated INTERNATIONAL NON VIOLENCE DAY

International Non Violence Day is celebrated on October 2nd every year to mark the birth anniversary of the most prominent leader of the Indian Independence struggle Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.. Popular for his non-violence movement, the purpose of this day is to honor the iconic leader. Gandhi Jayanti is a way of commemorating and remembering the teachings of Gandhiji and spreading his message of peace and harmony forward.

On this auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Ramakrishna Senior Secondary school organized various activities through a virtual platform to give an insight into the life of the greatest leader who gave the world the invincible weapons of Truth, Non-violence, Compassion, and Peace.

To mark the significance of the day, Prapti Kapoor of class VII delivered a speech in her virtual class. She shed light on Gandhiji’s invaluable contribution to India’s freedom struggle and how his principles of truth and non-violence are still remembered today. Through her speech, she spread the message of endurance, peace, harmony, and expressed her gratitude to Gandhiji for giving us the powerful tool of Non-Violence. She further reminded us of the importance of kindness, truth, non-violence, resilience, simplicity, and peace. She highlighted the values and ethics of Gandhiji. She paid tribute to the extraordinary soul ….the Yugpurush who was an epitome of peace and compassion.

The splendid event continued with the small graceful acts presented by the students of class 1st which filled the ambience with a feeling of patriotism for our country. They presented the philosophical and pragmatic ideals of Gandhiji. Through their acts, they upheld the values of Gandhiji and highlighted the sacrifice he made for the country. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the great deeds of Bapu were remembered and everyone was left with a sense of pride.
