Every year 24th December is observed as National Consumers Rights Day with a specific theme in India. The observance of National Consumer Rights Day provides an opportunity for individuals to highlight the importance of the consumer movement and the need to make every consumer more aware of their rights and responsibilities.
Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School observed National Consumers Rights Day by organizing a speech activity through a virtual platform.
On this day, Aadhya Chauhan, a student of class 4th, convincingly conveyed a message to all the customers and mentioned the significance of the consumer protection act 1986. Through her speech, she tried to give a small description of the act which aims to provide consumers with effective safeguards against different types of exploitation such as defective goods, deficiency in services, and unfair trade practices.
She also quoted the words of Gandhiji “A customer is the most valuable visitor in our premises.”
