Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School, Vikas Puri, organized the World Tourism Day on Sunday, 27th September 2020 by organizing a speech activity to acknowledge the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political, and economic values.
Lakshita Modi of Class-V delivered a very well-articulated speech during her virtual class, emphasizing on the theme for this year “Tourism and Rural Development.”
She highlighted the important role that tourism plays in preserving and promoting culture and heritage all around the world including those safeguarding endangered species, lost traditions, or flavours. She also mentioned that tourism is becoming more responsible and sustainable now and in times to come. She further added that the ultimate aim of tourism is to make people well aware, healthy, and happy.
She concluded that although the Coronavirus crisis has dealt a crippling blow to the travel and tourism industry globally, the industry will revive soon as some tests of Corona Control Vaccines are at an advanced stage of their production and the situation will be back to normal. She advised the students to stay home, stay safe, use online modes and take care of themselves.
