The Armed Forces Flag Day or the flag day of India is a day dedicated to India towards the collection of funds from the people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. The Indian Armed Forces Flag Day is observed every year on December 7 since 1949. It is a day to honor the soldiers, airmen, and sailors of India who fought on the borders to safeguard the country. On this day, funds are collected for the welfare and rehabilitation of widows and ex-servicemen.
Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School virtually celebrated Armed Forces Flag Day to spread awareness among the students about the sacrifices made by the armed forces personnel in protecting and safeguarding the country.
The celebrations commenced with a breathtaking dance performance on a patriotic song by the students of class 7th. Through their dance, they paid a tribute to the brave hearts of the Indian Armed Forces who have laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
To commemorate the day, Yashasaya Srivastava of class 3rd delivered a speech highlighting the significance of Armed Forces flag day. Through her speech, she convincingly conveyed a gratitude message by unfurling the folds of deeds done by armed personnel.
Trijil Sachdeva of class 3rd A also reaffirmed the importance of flag day. Through his speech, he focused on those loyal soldiers and their families who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He mentioned that this day is dedicated to India towards the collection of funds for War victims, their resettlement, and the wellbeing of the ex-servicemen personnel.
