Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School virtually celebrated Diwali

β€œIt is time to remove the darkness of ignorance within us and replace it with the light of hope and knowledge instead.”

It is amazing how festivals bring people together. Diwali, the festival of lights, that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart was virtually celebrated at Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School, Vikaspuri. Decorated in vibrant hues, the school had an ambience of joy and happiness.

On the auspicious occasion of Diwali ,Priyanshi Vassan of Class VIII was given an opportunity to deliver a speech. Through her speech, she gave an insight into the significance of the festival of Diwali which is celebrated to commemorate the victory of good over evil and knowledge over ignorance. She also gave the message to celebrate clean and green Diwali, by saying no to crackers in order to make our environment pollution free. She concluded her speech by insisting that we all should  become vocal for local and use local products for Diwali.

Celebrations also included some of the beautiful performances given by little munchkins of class 2nd where they all showcased different ways of celebrating Diwali that included offering prayers to goddess Lakshmi, rangoli making, small dance performance by some kids, decorating houses, etc. All the students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed a lot.

True Diwali spirit means sharing our things with the poor, who do not have the means to celebrate this festival.
