“Blessed are those parents who are gifted with a girl child who is a bundle of joy and a ray of hope.”

Girls are leaders. They are a fundamental source of transformational change for gender equality, and technology is a crucial tool to support their work, activism, and leadership.

On International Girl Child Day, Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School organized various activities through a virtual platform to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges they face around the world. The purpose of the celebration was to highlight and draw attention to the challenges that girls face.

On the observance of International Girl Child Day, Lakshita Modi of Class VI delivered a speech in her virtual class.

She laid stress on the need to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their rights. She contended that women in today’s world have changed significantly: they are now self-sufficient, well aware, and financially independent. She highlighted the fact that the girls are the epitome of strength, love, sacrifice, and courage.

She gave an insight into the various schemes like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ implemented by the Indian Government to empower girls for their sustainable development and end all kinds of discrimination towards them.

Celebrations continued with the small acts showcased by the charming and gorgeous girls of class 2nd wherein they showed that the girls have attained immense success in various fields like sports, politics, and academics. With the encouragement of co-education, girls are now marching side by side with men in every walk of life and have proved that the girls are the blessings, not the burden.
