“When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous.”

On National Girl Child Day, Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School organized various activities through a virtual platform to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges they face around the world. The main objective behind this day is to highlight the inequalities faced by girls, to promote awareness including the rights of a girl child, the importance of education, health, and nutrition

Srijan Jaiswal of Class V was given the opportunity to speak on the observance of National Girl Child Day.

She envisioned us that the day increases awareness about the gender inequality faced by women in our country. She claimed that every child in the country whether a boy or a girl is important and are the future of the country. Girls should be treated equally and should get all the opportunities in our society for the welfare of the Nation as a whole.

She gave an insight into the various schemes like “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” implemented by the Indian Government to empower girls for their sustainable development. In the end she urged that we should all step forward to make sure we create a better future for the girl children in India.

Mishika of Class II also recited a poem on this day highlighting the fact that the girls are the epitome of strength, love, sacrifice and courage. They are marching side by side with men, in every walk of life and have proved that the girls are the blessings, not the burden.
