Pratha Anand, a student of Class X, was provided with an opportunity to deliver a speech in online class on 25.01.2022 on the topic Republic Day. The speaker in her address highlighted the reason for celebrating Republic Day. Republic Day is celebrated to remember the historic moment when our nation became an independent republic country. A Committee headed by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar submitted a draft of the Indian Constitution, which was adopted on 26th November 1949 and officially came into effect on 26th January 1950. Ever since independence, the main celebration of Republic Day is held at the national capital of New Delhi at the Rajpath in the presence of the President, Prime Minister, and other high-rank officials of India.
She further added that the flag hoisting ceremony at the Rajpath in the national capital takes place which is followed by a Republic Day speech by the President and the republic parade. The speaker concluded her speech by urging us to promise each other that we should become a better version of ourselves so that we could contribute to solving all these problems and making our nation a better place to live.
