The school organizes various activities through virtual mode as, we at R.K.S, are committed to the holistic growth of our students. In our endeavour to hone the various skills of students, regular activities are being held.  To spread awareness on Road Safety, the entire week from January 11th to January 17th was dedicated to it. Road safety is an issue of prime concern to all. Be it a pedestrian, rickshaw puller, or vehicle driver, anyone can fall prey to mishaps on roads. Road Safety Week is a campaign initiated by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

On the first day of the Road Safety Week, Ishita Mittal, a student of Class XII, was provided with an opportunity to deliver a speech. The speaker in her address highlighted importance of Road Safety Rules and emphasized the fact that it is mandatory to abide by them to ensure a safe transit.

On the second day, Lavya Sharma and Pratyaksh Suri of class 2nd recited a poem in their virtual classhighlighting the ways to celebrate ‘Road Safety Week.’ Through their poem, they apprised the students of the preventive measures to be taken while using the road.

The following day, the students of class 1st presented a beautiful dance showing rules and regulations that one should abide by to promote road safety. The students enjoyed the performance and learned the basic safety rules which must be followed on roads to have a safe journey.

On the fifth day of Road Safety Week, the students of class 8th acquainted the students with the Dos and Don’ts required to keep themselves safe on Road. They stated that our utmost responsibility is to remain vigilant on the road and follow all the safety measures to save ourselves and our families from road accidents.

The following day, the students of class 4th displayed various signboards on the road through placards. The motive of this was to create awareness among the students about the traffic rules.  They displayed the significance of wearing seat belts and helmets through their placards.

Sonam Maurya of class 9th observed an oath on Road Safety to enlighten the people about the ways to become more cognizant about the safety on the roads. The oath motivated all to follow the rules and regulations required while using any means of transport to avoid the unfortunate repercussions in case of oblivion to the safety measures.
